Laser Light™ Commences RFI Process For its Proposed All Optical Satellite System™

Laser Light Communications™, LLC issued its Request for Information [RFI] for Design and Estimated Pricing for its proposed All Optical Satellite Service™ [OSS] constellation to a pre-qualified group of global aerospace and engineering firms. The RFI material was selectively provided to 24 US and European Aerospace firms with core competencies in Free Space Optics; Satellite Vehicles [Bus]; Optical Payload’s; Ground Network [Telecommunications] Systems; Commercial Space Launch Services; and Risk Management. The duration for responses to the RFI was a period of 90 days. Additional information was sought from potential vendors as to technology readiness levels; commercial-off-the-shelf solutions; industrial base capabilities; and Rough Order of Magnitude pricing. Participating vendors were requested to comment on Laser Light’s™ System Design Description.
