Laser Light Africa and Javilian Global Sign Strategic MOU to Accelerate West-to-East Digital Infrastructure Across Southern Africa

September 9, 2025 Johannesburg, South Africa– Laser Light Africa, a leading provider of sovereign-grade multi-domain connectivity solutions spanning land, sea, and space, has entered into a strategic Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Javilian Global, an established licensed African telecommunications infrastructure developer, specializing in the design, construction, operation, and maintenance of telecoms infrastructure and terrestrial fibre networks.

The teaming will combine Laser Light Africa’s advanced satellite and optical networking capabilities with the Javilian Global in-country licensing, regulatory compliance, fibre infrastructure and proven network deployment expertise.  Together, the two companies aim to accelerate the roll-out of high-capacity terrestrial and satellite infrastructure along a critical West-to-East digital corridor, improving connectivity, resilience, and economic opportunity across multiple Southern African nations. 

Strategic Objectives:

  • Integrated Terrestrial–Satellite Network: Develop a West-to-East fibre corridor with direct integration into Laser Light’s future constellation of Medium Earth Orbit (MEO) satellites, providing redundancy and expanded coverage.
  • In-Country Licensing & Compliance: Leverage Javilian’s licensing and network deployment expertise in multiple African countries,
  • Economic Impact: Enable cross-border digital trade, deploy advanced data infrastructure, improve network redundancy, and strengthen connectivity for enterprises, governments, and underserved communities.
